High Fidelity

Over the weekend, youth/alternative based Australian Government ABC owned and run radio station Triple J completed the list of the Hottest 100 of all time. This was to celebrate 20 years of the annual listing.

Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit, won the top gong, followed by Rage Against The Machine – Killing In The Name Of, and Jeff Buckley – Hallejulah.

Full listing here.

This is all good and well, but here are my Top 5, Rob Gordon style.

1) Easybeats – Friday On My Mind

2) Louis Armstrong – What A Wonderful World

3) John Lennon – Imagine

4) Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit
5) Rage Against The Machine – Killing In The Name Of

Plus it wouldn’t have hurt to put in some Spiderbait and Regurgitator now hey? I’m think I’m biased with that though.
