Review: The Wire

With the amount of police-based drama that is currently out on TV, it’s hard to find something refreshing and original.

Bring in, The Wire.

This extremely dramatic series covers every nook and cranny you could possibly imagine, with very graphic results. The language would put Quentin Tarantino and South Park to shame, with the realistic violence that Tom Savini would be proud of.

With virtual unknowns in the series, you would have to think twice with scenarios that come across as too realistic.

The 1 hour x 13 episode, 5 season series was too good for TV, being another fantastic HBO product. If you ever want a great drama that you want to get hooked onto, this is your drug.
