I’ve received many e-mails and messages about this. Let me be one of many nerds who want to set the record straight.
Happy Back To The Future Day… NOT!
Today, or at least yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that (between 3 – 6 July) many tweets/e-mails/links circulated around the interwebs, claiming that today (or whatever day) is the day that 1985 time-travelling teen Marty McFly would arrive from the past, to the future, which is now.
Still following me?
Here are some screenshots of the movie Back To The Future, which people claim that it’s real.
Both of these shots are from the same screen.
These shots are fake / photoshopped. Especially the one on the right, where the red number 6 looks dodgy. The second zero in 2010 is off alignment, compared to the other zeroes.
It started with these tweets from Total Film. After many fans were complaining that it wasn’t, they tried to state their point saying it happened in Part 1, while in Part 2, Marty and Doc Brown travelled to 2015, but people got confused.
Finally, they admitted their wrongdoing.
Without showing you a dozen screenshots, just watch the following.

Hello? Anybody home? Think McFly! Think!
