The hoopla that’s floating around in Australia this entire December has been major overseas bands / artists / entertainers flying into town. One major coup is US talk show host Oprah Winfrey, who has been dragged out to Australia to give the tourism industry a much needed boost. If you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know the story, I’m really not going to fill you in on it all as myself and a million others are over the hype.
While Oprah has had many special guests on her Sydney show that’s being filmed at the Opera House (Russell Crowe, Bon Jovi, U2, Terri & Bindi Irwin), X-Men & Wolverine star Hugh Jackman has done a special appearance, by using the flying fox to ‘fly’ from the top of the Opera House, to centre stage. However, not everything went to plan. Jackman was flying fast down the rope, and slapped into a stage light, grazing his eye. Lucky it was just a flesh wound. After an application of ice and a band-aid, he was right as reign and ready to be interviewed.
But I believe there was something behind Jackman’s incident… I’m pretty sure Magneto was around. Mind the pun used by the Newsreader.
But Jackman laughed it off in style – and so did I…
