Music TV

Stutter Rap

While the hype and holler of the American music industry awards – known as the Grammys – has been and gone, there are successes and embarrasses.

Some notable schenanigans for the 2011 Grammys were Mick Jagger singing “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” (which gave me the urge to don the Blues Brothers suit), as well as Lady Gaga turning up in a large egg, only to exit when she was “born” on stage. Unfortunately for one CBS TV reporter, Serene Branson, the pressure was a bit too much, accidentally slurring her words on air.

Reports of Serene of having a stroke while the report happened have been rectified, with CBS releasing a statement saying that it was all nerves, paramedics examined her on site and was given a lift home by a colleague.
