British actor Jodie Whittaker has stepped up to take the ranks of the world’s most popular Doctor, becoming the first female Doctor in the series. Whittaker is no ‘nobody’, with an extensive CV covering television, film and stage.
The transition from Capaldi to Whittaker will happen during the 2017 Christmas Special.
Anyway, that’s it really. In what’s been a male-dominating role, it’s about time they mixed it up a little.
